Since the 1990s, when Paulo Varella lived in Europe and immersed himself in London’s vibrant art scene, this question has followed him. Surrounded by galleries, artists, and collectors, he realized a persistent imbalance: artists eager to sell, collectors eager to buy, and yet a market that remained closed to most people.
